Kwiatkoski fills a big need at linebacker for the Raiders. He stepped up in place of other injured players last year for Chicago and should be rewarded with a generous sum in his coming deal.
Kwiatkoski, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bears back in 2016. He just finished the final year of his four-year, $2.915 million contract and made a base salary of $720,000 in 2019.
Kwiatkoski was testing unrestricted free agency for the first time in his career this offseason.
In 2019, Kwiatkoski appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded 74 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble, one interception, four pass defenses and a safety. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 15 linebacker out of 89 qualifying players.
