Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Raiders are signing WRย Walter Powell off of the Bills’ practice squad on Friday.
- Yates adds that this move will help the Raiders in their return game for Sunday’s match up.
Powell, 23, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cardinals back in May of last year. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but he wound up being claimed off of waivers by the Jets.
Powell was among the Jets’ final roster cuts. However, he was later added to their practice squad at the start of the season before he joined the Bills a little over a week ago.
In 2014, Powell appeared in four games and totaled 233 kick return yards and 48 punt return yards for the Jets.
