The Oakland Raiders brought in six defensive backs for tryouts on Thursday, according to Field Yates, following the season-ending injury to first-round S Johnathan Abram.
The full list of tryouts for the Raiders includes:
McDonald, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.926 million rookie contract before signing a one-year, $1.34 million contract with the Dolphins in 2017.
The Dolphins elected to sign McDonald to a four-year, $24 million extension that includes $10 million at the start of the 2017 season. Miami released him coming out of the preseason.
In 2018, McDonald appeared in 14 games for the Dolphins and recorded 86 tackles, three interceptions, a fumble recovery and five pass defenses.
Boddy-Calhoun, 26, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Minnesota back in 2016. He was waived a few months later and claimed off of waivers by the Browns.
Cleveland declined to tender Boddy-Calhoun a restricted contract, which allowed him to become an unrestricted free agent. He signed a one-year deal with the Texans back in March but was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
Since becoming a free agent, the Vikings brought Boddy-Calhoun in for a visit last week but he left Minnesota without a contract.
In 2018, Boddy-Calhoun appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and recorded 56 tackles, no interceptions, a forced fumble and two pass defenses.
