The Oakland Raiders officially waived TE Paul Butler from injured reserve with a settlement on Friday.
Butler, 26, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of California (PA) back in May of last year. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later re-signed to the Raiders’ practice squad.
Oakland eventually promoted Butler to their active roster in December. However, he was waived last weekend with an injury designation and later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list.
During the preseason, Butler caught four passes for 24 yards and no touchdowns for the Raiders.
