Rams Place DB Marqui Christian On IR, Promote Two

The Los Angeles Rams announced Wednesday that they’ve placed DB Marqui Christian on injured reserve and promoted OL Aaron Neary and OLB Garrett Sickels to their active roster.

• The Rams also signed TE Henry Krieger-Cobble and CB Taurean Nixon to their practice squad.

The Rams’ practice squad now consists of:

4. G Jake Eldrenkamp
5. TE Johnny Mundt
6. LB Ejuan Price
7. DB Dominique Hatfield
8. DB Marcus Sayles
9. TE Henry Krieger-Cobble
10. CB Taurean Nixon

Christian, 23, was taken in the fifth-round of the 2016 NFL draft by the Cardinals. Arizona waived him Christian a few weeks into the 2016 regular season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Rams.

Christian is currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.55 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000 over the next two years.

In 2017, Christian appeared in 12 games for the Rams and recorded nine tackles and no interceptions.
