Rams HCย Jeff Fisher mentionedย during OTAs that theyย have to prepare for the possibility that RB Tre Mason is “not going to be here,” via theย L.A. Daily News.
Mason has missedย all of offseason workouts up to this point, due to a March arrest on drug and traffic charges.
Earlier in the day,ย Nick Wagonerย projected the Rams to keepย four running backs with Mason beingย on the outside looking in, due to his offseason arrest and the looming possibility of a suspension.
Mason, 22, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2014. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,980,938 rookie contractย and stands to make a base salary ofย $641,146 for the 2016 season.
In 2015, Mason appeared inย 13 games for the Rams and ran for 207 yards on 75 carries (2.8 YPC) to go along with 18 receptions for 88 yards receiving and one total touchdown.
