The Los Angeles Rams announced Monday that they’ve officially signed 10 players to futures deals for the 2018 season.
The full list includes:
- DT Omarius Bryant
- FB Sam Rogers
- WR Fred Brown
- G Jake Eldrenkamp
- TE Johnny Mundt
- LB Ejuan Price
- DB Dominique Hatfield
- DB Marcus Sayles
- TE Henry Krieger-Coble
- DB Taurean Nixon
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Mundt, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Rams cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.
Los Angeles promoted him to their active roster a few months ago only to cut him loose and later re-sign him to their practice squad.
In 2017, Mundt was active for two games but has yet to record a statistic.
Sayles, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of West Georgia back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Bills cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
The Bills later signed him to their practice squad, only to cut him loose a few days later. Sayles would later catch on with the Rams last November.
During the preseason, Sayles appeared in all four games and recorded three tackles and a pass defense for the Bills.
