The Los Angeles Rams announced Monday that they’ve signed DTย Chunky Clements to a contract.
Clements, 23, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois last year. Minnesota cut him loose as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit and heย later signed on to the Texans’ practice squad.
Houston eventually promoted Clements to their active roster before waiving him and re-signing him to their taxi squad. Unfortunately, the Texans waived Clements this past March.
In 2017, Clements appeared in two games for the Texans and recorded two tackles and a half sack.
During his four-year college career, Clements recorded 99 tackles, 26.5 tackles for a loss, six sacks, three forced fumbles, a recovery and five pass defenses over the course of 37 games.
