Rams Signing K Zach Hocker

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Rams have signed K Zach Hocker in the event Greg Zuerlein (groin) can’t suit up for tomorrow’s game.

Hocker, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Redskins. However, he was unable to make the team’s final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason last year and was among their final roster cuts.

The Dolphins later signed him to a future/reserve deal in early January before cutting him back May. Hocker later caught on with the Saints and managed to win the job this summer, but was cut loose over a month ago.

In six games this season, Hocker has converted 9 of 13 (69.2 percent) of his field goal attempts. He’s also 11 out of 12 in extra point tries.
