Rams HC Jeff Fisher told reporters after Saturday’s rookie practice that they are still in talks with free agent OT Joe Barksdale about re-signing him, per Jim Thomas.
Barksdale recently tried out for the Falcons on Monday and has previously found interest from the Titans.
St. Louis has remained in contact with Barksdale for several months now. However, the Rams came away from the draft with four offensive linemen including Wisconsin OT Rob Havenstein, Louisville OL Jamon Brown, Iowa OL Andrew Donnal and Fresno State G Cody Wichmann, so it’s not as though they are in desperate need of help right now.
Barksdale, 27, appeared in all 16 games for the Rams in 2014 and played a total of 1031 snaps. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 48 offensive tackle out of 84 qualifying players.
