Raven Make “Substantial Offer” To G Ben Grubbs

Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens have made a “substantial offer” to G Ben Grubbs which has been acknowledged by both the Ravens and Grubbs representation.

Just a few weeks ago, it seemed as though there was no way for the Ravens to retain their Pro Bowl guard but they’ve, at the very least, given themselves a shot at prevent him from reaching the open market.

Normally, Grubbs would be a great position to land solid contract but with Carl Nicks available, he may have to wait to for him to sign before he receives the kind of offer that he’s looking for.
