The Baltimore Ravens announced Sunday that veteran Gย Marshal Yanda suffered a season-ending ankle injury during today’s game. Yanda specifically sustained a fractured ankle.
The Ravens will likely place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.
This is terrible news for the Ravens, who have already dealt with a number of key injuries this season. Yanda is among the best interior offensive linemen in the NFL and won’t be easily replaced.
Yanda, 33, is a former third-round pick of the Ravens back in 2007. He’s currently in the third year of his five-year, $34.14 million contract that included $17.8 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $6 million and $7 million over the next two years.
Yanda’s 2017 season ends with him appearing in two games.
