Free agent CB Jimmy Smith tells Josina Anderson that he’s re-signing with the Ravens.
Adam Schefter reports that Smith is signing a one-year, $6 million contract with Baltimore.
The Ravens were reportedly interested in bringing Smith back and it appears as though the two parties were able to get a deal done in the end.
Smith, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2011. He played out the final year of his five-year, $54.89 million contract that includes $21 million guaranteed and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2019, Smith appeared in nine games for the Ravens and recorded 30 tackles, one sack, an interception and six passes defended. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 43 cornerback out of 113 qualifying players.
We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
