Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Ravens have, in fact, re-signed RB Justin Forsett to a contract on Monday, as expected.

  • La Canfora adds that the move will become official prior to their start of practice on Tuesday.

Forsett was a surprise cut a few days ago, but numerous reports have said a return to Baltimore was expected.

Forsett, 30, was entering the second year of  a three-year, $9 million contract and set to earn a base salary of $3 million for 2016 when the Ravens cut him loose before Saturday’s deadline.

In 2015, Forsett ran for 641 yards on 151 carries (4.2 YPC) to go along with 31 receptions for 153 yards receiving and two total touchdowns.
