Ravens Sign DE/OLB Courtney Upshaw

Jeff Zrebiec reports that the Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement with No. 35 overall pick DE/OLB Courtney Upshaw on a four-year contract.

He receives a $2.292 million signing bonus, according to Aaron Wilson.

Taking Upshaw in the second-round of the draft was considered a steal even before Terrell Suggs was lost for at least a portion of the 2012 season after partially tearing his Achilles last week. Baltimore will know look to Upshaw to step in and be a productive pass rusher for them next season, now that they’re without the reigning defensive player of the year.
