Ravens Waive TE Chase Ford

The Baltimore Ravens announced Tuesday that they’ve waived TE Chase Ford.

This comes just hours after the news TE Dennis Pitta intends to continue his NFL career and has already agreed to a pay cut.

The Ravens used a low-round restricted tender on Ford a few months ago that would have run them $1,671,000 for the 2016 season.

Ford, 25, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in 2012. He lasted less than a year in Philadelphia before signing a future/reserve contract with the Vikings in January of 2013.

He was on and off of the Vikings’ active roster for the next two years before later being signed to the Ravens’ active roster.

Ford did not appear in a game during the 2015 season.
