Adam Schefter reports that the Redskins are bringing in veteran TE Vernon Davis for a visit on Thursday.
Schefter mentions that there’s an obvious connection between Davis and the Redskins, as GM Scot McCloughan was with him in San Francisco years ago.
Davis, 32, is a former first-round pick of the 49ers back in 2006. He spent the first nine-plus years of his career with the 49ers beforee being traded to the Broncos midseason.
In 2015, Davis appeared in 15 games and recorded 38 receptions for 395 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
