Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Redskins and veteran G Kory Lichtensteiger have agreed to a pay cut.
- Yates says that Lichtensteiger has agreed to reduce his salary from $3.5 million to $2.25 million for the 2016 season. However, he can earn the $1.25 million difference back by reaching incentives.
Lichtensteiger, 31, is a former fourth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2008. He lasted just over a year in Denver before he was waived and later claimed by the Redskins.
Lichtensteiger is in the fourth year of his five-year, $17.5 million contract that included a $2.75 million signing bonus. He was set to make a base salary of $3.5 million for the 2016 season.
In 2015, Lichtensteiger was limited to appearing in just five games for the Redskins, due to a neck injury.
