Adam Schefter reports that the Redskins are hosting free agent OT Ereck Flowers for a visit Sunday night.
This is the first reported interest in Flowers since the free agent market officially opened.
While Flowers has really struggled since entering the NFL, he appeared to show some signs of progress with the Jaguars based on PFF’s ratings.
Flowers, 24, is a former No. 9 overall pick out of Miami by the Giants in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was the final year of a four-year $14.391 million rookie contract that is fully guaranteed set to earn a base salary of $2,397,522 for 2018 when the Giants waived him last year.
The Jaguars later signed Flowers to a contract and he finished out the year in Jacksonville.
In 2018, Flowers has appeared in 13 games for the Giants and Jaguars and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 50 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.
