The Washington Redskins officially signed G Zac Kerin on Tuesday and placed G Jonathan Cooper on injured reserve.
Cooper suffered a torn bicep tendon during Monday’s game, so this move was expected.
Cooper, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2013. The Cardinals traded him to the Patriots as part of the Chandler Jones’ trade, but New England declined to pick up his fifth-year option and later cut him loose in 2016.
The Browns later claimed him off of waivers from New England but he lasted just a few months in Cleveland. After one year with the Cowboys, Cooper signed on with the 49ers but was unfortunately released coming out of the preseason.
The Redskins signed Cooper to a contract last month.
In 2018, Cooper appeared in three games for the Redskins.
