Redskins Place Three On IR Including TE Jordan Reed, Promote Three

The Washington Redskins announced Tuesday that they’ve placed LB Chris Carter, RB Byron Marshall and TE Jordan Reed on injured reserve and promoted three players to their active roster including RB Kapri Bibbs, LB Otha Peters and LB Pete Robertson.

  • The Redskins also signed LB Alex McCalister, RB Dare Ogunbowale and S Orion Stewart to their practice squad.

Reed, 27, was taken in the third-round of the 2013 NFL draft by the Redskins. He was in the final year of his rookie contract when he signed a six-year, $48 million deal that included $22 million guaranteed with Washington last year.

Reed stands to make base salaries of $8.25 million and $7.67 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Reed had appeared in six games for the Redskins and caught 27 passes for 211 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
