Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the preliminary belief is that Redskins RB Derrius Guice suffered an MCL sprain during Sunday’s game against the Packers.
There are more tests scheduled for Monday to determine the severity of Guice’s knee.
Guice broke off a big run before taking a hit to his left knee. Trainers later attended to him before he was able to walk off the field under his own power.
Guice returned to the Redskins a few weeks ago after being placed on injured reserve back in September. Washington later designated him to return.
Guice, 22, is a former second-round pick of the Redskins back in 2018. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $4,541,936 contract that includes a $1,383,224 signing bonus.
Entering today’s game, Guice had appeared in four games for the Redskins and rushed for 203 yards on 37 carries (5.5 YPC) to go along with seven receptions for 79 yards receiving and three total touchdowns.
We’ll have more regarding Guice as the news is available.
