John Keim reports that Redskins RB Keith Marshall suffered a torn right patella tendon during Saturday’s practice and will miss the 2017 season.
Washington will likely place him on injured reserve in the coming days.
Marshall, 23, is a former seventh-round pick of the Redskins back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.40 million contract and set to make base salaries of $450,000 and $540,000 over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2016, Marshall missed the entire season with an elbow injury, so this is clearly very disappointing start to his career.
