“Cursory Contact” Between Saints and WR Devery Henderson

Len Pasquarelli of the National Football Post reports that the Saints have had “cursory contact” with WR Devery Henderson.

Pasquarelli adds that although the two sides have talked, “it’s not a given yet” that Henderson returns to New Orleans.

The Washington Redskins announced that they have terminated the contract of WR Devery Henderson on Wednesday.

Henderson, 31, signed with the team a few months ago, but there were rumors that he was on the chopping block, so this doesn’t come as a huge surprise.

Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune mentioned that Henderson “would be a perfect fit” for the Saints if he was unable to make the team. New Orleans has been dealing with some injuries at receiver and Henderson spent a number of years working in their system. We’ll have to see if they show any serious interest in a possible reunion.
