Redskins Sign DB D.J. White, Waive LB Andrew East

The Washington Redskins announced Friday that they’ve signed DB D.J. White to a contract and waived LB Andrew East.

White, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2.52 million contract when the Chiefs waived him during the 2017 season. 

White wound up being claimed off of waivers by the Colts, but was once again cut loose at the start of the 2018 season. He had a brief stint on the Colts’ practice squad.

For his career, White has appeared in 13 games for the Colts and Chiefs and recorded 14 tackles, one interception and three pass defenses.
