The Washington Redskins officially waived TE Matt Flanagan from injured reserve with a settlement on Thursday.
Flanagan, 24, wound up signing on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh back in May of last year. He was waived at the start of the regular season and later signed to Washington’s practice squad.
The Redskins elected to promote Flanagan to their active roster in December. However, he was waived with an injury designation last week and later reverted to their injured reserve list.
In 2018, Flanagan appeared in three games for the Redskins, catching one pass for 14 yards.
