John Keim of ESPN reports that the Redskins have scheduled a workout with former Bengals OT Jake Fisher for Thursday.
Fisher is making the transition to tight end and plans to work out at the position for Washington.
The Texans brought Fisher in for a workout before signing Darren Fells instead.
Fisher is reportedly down to 285 pounds and has been running routes with current NFL quarterbacks in California this offseason.
Fisher, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals back in 2015. He played out the final year of his four-year, $4.259 million contract that included $1.986 million guaranteed and made a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.
Fisher is testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2018, Fisher appeared in 11 games for the Bengals before being placed on injured reserve.
