Redskins Working To Re-Sign S Ha Ha Clinton Dix

Ian Rapoport reports that the Redskins are interested and working to re-sign free agent S Ha Ha Clinton Dix

The Redskins have already invested huge money in Landon Collins, but it appears as though they envision having him play alongside Clinton-Dix, whom they acquired in a deadline trade last year.

Clinton-Dix has had a surprisingly quiet market up to this point, but it appears as though a return to Washington could end up being his best option.

Clinton-Dix, 26, was taken with the No. 21 overall pick by the Packers back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $8,338,501 contract when the Packers picked up his fifth-year option.

Green Bay later traded Clinton-Dix to the Redskins last year for a fourth-round pick.

Clinton-Dix made a base salary of $5,957,000 for the 2018 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2018, Clinton-Dix appeared all 16 games for the Packers and Redskins and recorded 93 tackles, one sack, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, a recovery and six pass defenses.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
