Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports that the 49ers are signing RB Glenn Winston to a contract.
- Adam Schefter reports that Winson receives a three-year contract from San Francisco.
San Francisco waived/injured RB Kendall Hunter on Monday after he suffered a season-ending knee injury, so they do have an open roster spot to work with.
Winston played for Michigan State during the 2008 and 2009 seasons. He ran for 204 yards on 63 carries and scored two touchdowns over the course of 13 games.
