Report: Bill Polian Not Interested In Jets GM Position

According to USA Today, the New York Jets reached out to former Colts president Bill Polian before than hired a search firm to aid their general-manager search, but were informed that Polian was not interested in the position.

The Jets fired GM Mike Tannenbaum this morning, but they seem to be willing to keep him around in a different capacity.

Kimberly Jones reports that the Jets have asked the Giants for permission to interview their director of college scouting Marc Ross.

Ross is one of the hot GM candidates, so it’s going to be hard for the Jets to find interest from executives that have more promising opportunities.
