Report: Bills Trying To Trade Up To No. 1 Or No. 2 Overall

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that the Bills have been “burning up the phone lines” in order to trade up to No. 1 or possibly No. 2 overall.

  • According to Florio, the Bills are targeting South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney or Auburn OT Greg Robinson.
  • Florio adds that it remains unclear what it would cost the Bills to make such a move.

Ian Rapoport previously reported that the Bills were among the teams looking to trade up into the top-five, so this news doesn’t come as a huge surprise.

Last year, the Dolphins sent the Raiders the No. 12 and No. 42 overall picks to trade up to No. 3 and draft DE/OLB Dion Jordan, but it seems likely that the Texans and Rams would be looking for more in return for their current selections.

It’s worth mentioning that Clemson WR Sammy Watkins has been rumored to be a target for the Bills, but it’s doubtful they would move that far up for him.

We’ll have more regarding the Bills as the news is available.
