Update:
Ricky Henne of Chargers.com reports that theย OLBย Melvin Ingramย has been activated to the team’s 53-man roster.
Ingram, a 2012 first-round pick, was initially believed to be done for the 2013 season after having injured his left knee back in May. He was subsequently placed on the PUP list following the ACL surgery.
It’s almostย astonishing thatย Ingram was able to work himself back this season following a major knee injury. San Diego could really use some help at outside linebacker as their defensive unit as a whole has really been a sore spot for them this season.

Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribuneย reports that there is aย “real possibility” that theย Chargers could get OLBย Melvin Ingramย back andย playing at some point during the first half of December.
“You couldn’t tell he was fresh off an ACL. He looks fast. More than anything, he was just so determined to make a comeback this year,” said teammate CB Shareece Wright. “They say people heal differently. I think he’s one of those guys that heals in a special way”
Ingram resumed practicing in mid-November, so despite his remarkable recovery he won’t be active for Sunday’s game against the Bengals, but there is a possibility he could return in time for either Week 14 or 15.
