Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the Colts are “closing in on” a deal for WR Hakeem Nicks.
- ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Colts have signed Hakeem Nicks to a one-year deal.
- Albert Breer reports that Nicks receives a base value of $3.5 million that includes “upside for more.”
- Jason La Canfora “wouldn’t be surprised” if Nicks has a chance to earn another $2 million incentives.
Nicks, 25, totaled 56 receptions for 896 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Giants last season. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 69 receiving in the league last year, so it wasn’t the finest contract-year we’ve ever seen.
