Dianna Marie Russini reports that Redskins WR DeSean Jackson will not playย in Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams due to bruised legs.
Jackson was listed as questionable with a leg injury and was expected to be a game-time decision, but it appears as though the injury is bad enough for them to rule him out ahead of time.
“Hopefully, heโll feel better tomorrow and come Sunday, heโll be ready to go,” coach Jay Gruden said on Friday, via John Keim of ESPN. “If heโs not full strength, then heโll be a longshot to play.”
Without Jackson in the lineup,ย Pierre Garcon and Andre Roberts should see plenty of opportunities against a Rams’ defense that has played really well in recent weeks.
Jackson, 28, is in the first year of hisย three-year, $24 million contractย that includesย $16 million guaranteed.
In his first season with the Redskins, Jackson has caught 47 passes for 942 yards and five touchdowns.
