Armando Salguero reports that the Dolphins will not make an attempt to acquire a wide receiver like Hakeem Nicks or Josh Gordon ahead of tomorrow’s trade deadline.
Miami lost WR Brandon Gibson for the season after he suffered a torn PCL during Sunday’s loss to the Patriots.
The Dolphins really do not have a lot of depth at the receiver position, so the idea of them trading for a solid receiver at the very least seems like a plausible option. Miami has dropped four games in row after starting the season 3-0. On top of that, it would require a lot in terms of draft compensation to acquire someone like Nicks or Gordon.
Miami spent a ton of money this offseason, so their salary cap situation is likely to impact them making a huge move now or even during the offseason.
