Redskins QB Kirk Cousins To Start Against The Browns

The Washington Redskins have announced that rookie QB Kirk Cousins will be making his first career start against the Browns, per Adam Schefter.

Robert Griffin III status for Week 15 doesn’t look very optimistic, as the doctors ultimately decided not to clear Griffin because of the risk involving further damage to his knee.

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that the Washington Redskins have been giving rookie QB Kirk Cousins all of their first-team reps this week with Robert Griffin III practicing in a limited capacity.

Glazer adds that Griffin “is truly a game-time decision.”

Griffin has been able to do some minor things throughout the week, but it looks like Cousins is the favorite to start at this point in time. We probably won’t know whether or RGIII will be available until hours before the game.

A loss by the Redskins would really help teams like the Bears, Seahawks and Giants who would all be better positioned for the playoffs even if they were to lose on Sunday.
