Dolphins Bring In WRs Laurent Robinson, Austin Collie & Julius Pruitt For Workouts

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins met with free agent WRs Laurent RobinsonAustin Collie and Julius Pruitt on Tuesday.

Miami lost WR Armon Binns for the season after he suffered a torn ACL and MCL during last weekend’s practice, so they are in need of some additional help at receiver.

Robinson has already met with the Jets, Lions and Patriots, but has yet to receive a contract for any of them.

Armando Salguero reports that free agent WR Laurent Robinson will work out for the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday.

  • Salguero adds that the Dolphins had interest in Robinson before he signed with Jaguars in 2012.
  • Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald mentions that free agent WR Austin Collie is “believed to be a possibility” for the Dolphins as well.

Adam Caplan reports that free agent WR Laurent Robinson left his workout for the Jets without a contract.

  • Caplan adds that Robinson will meet with the Patriots coming up then Lions.

ESPN’s Rich Cimini tweeted Monday that wide receiver Laurent Robinson is scheduled to work out with the Jets today, according to a source.

Additionally, he’s also scheduled to work out with the Patriots and Lions as well in the future.

Robinson last played for the Jaguars in 2012 but was diagnosed with a concussion four times. His health made him hard to retain even after the Jaguars signed him to a five-year, $32.5 million contract.

Claiming he is symptom free, Robinson plans to resume playing and doesn’t mind doing so on a non-guaranteed contract.
