Report: Odell Beckham Jr Has Told Other Players & Coaches To “Come Get Me”

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported on Sunday that Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr has told other players and coaches throughout the year to “come get me.”

Glazer says he doesn’t see the relationship between the Browns and Beckham ending well and notes that it wasn’t his choice to end up in Cleveland.

Earlier in the day, reports surfaced that Beckham will likely need sports hernia surgery after the year. However, he told Josina Anderson that while he’s been experiencing some pain since training camp, “there is no decision on surgery yet.”

Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reported yesterday that multiple sources believe Beckham Jr.’s talent has been wasted this season in what was described as a “dysfunctional Browns offense.”

Cabot added that multiple sources consider the Browns’ offense to poorly designed and poorly run and believe it won’t succeed in the future unless changes are made in terms of coaching, scheme or playcalling.

Beckham, 27, was taken with the No. 12 overall pick by the Giants back in 2014. He was set to make a base salary of $8,459,000 for the 2018 season when he agreed to a new five-year extension worth up to $95 million and includes $65 million in total guarantees.

The Giants traded Beckham to the Browns this offseason for the No. 17 overall pick, their second third-round pick and S Jabrill Peppers.

Beckham stands to make base salaries of $16.75 million and $14 million over the next two years.

In 2019, Beckham has appeared in 12 games for the Browns and caught 57 passes for 805 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
