Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston reports that the Patriots have released veteran DT Isaac Sopoaga.
Sopoaga, 32, came over to New England in a mid-season trade with the Philadelphia last year. The Patriots sent a 2014 fifth-round pick to the Eagles in return for Sopoaga and a 2014 sixth-round pick.
He would go on to appear in 14 games and total 12 tackles and a single sack. According to Pro Football Focus, he played just 120 snaps last year and was rated as a below-average defensive tackle.
