According to Jason La Canfora, he continues to hear that the most “closely linked” to Antonio Brown right now are the Raiders and Eagles.
La Canfora says that all is quiet right now in regards to a Brown trade, but several teams who have been in the mix believe a trade with the Raiders would already be done if not for contractual hold-ups between Oakland and Brown’s reps.
Last we heard regarding Brown, Aaron Wilson reported that he has told people he thinks he’ll wind up with the Raiders, even though the decision isn’t in his hands.
Michael Gehlken mentioned that itโs believed Brown would welcome joining the Raiders and a source close to the receiver said the 2020 move to Las Vegas is a factor in his thinking, given that there will be no state income taxes in Nevada.
A report surfaced Thursday night that the Steelers were closing in on a deal with the Bills, but the team later announced that they’re out on Brown and moving in a new direction.
Brown, 30, is a former sixth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2010. He’s currently in the third year of his five-year, $72.71 million contract that included a $19 million signing bonus and stands to make base salaries of $12.625 million and $11.3 million over the next two years of the agreement.
Pittsburgh will incur a $21 million cap hit by trading Brown, who is owed a $2.5 million roster bonus on the third day of the league year.
In 2018, Brown appeared in 15 games for the Steelers and caught 104 passes for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 26 receiver out of 117 qualifying players.
We’ll have more regarding Brown as the news is available.

I thought LeVeon Bell was the prize on the Eagles’ radar?! Now! Antonio Brown is the prime option for the Eagles.
The Eagles have Alshon Jeffrey, Nelson Agholor and Wentz’s bestie Jordan Matthews at WR. Why would the Eagles need another high salary receiver? The Eagles need youth on the o-line and help on the d-line with the recent departure of Michael Bennett and possibly Chris Long.
The Eagles should resign Darren Sproles and sign Danny Amendola, both on 2 year deals. This would be cost effective and give Wentz more options in the passing game. Amendola would be great from the slot and Sproles adds to the passing game out of the backfield and on 3rd and shorts.
