The New Orleans Saints have been in contact with a number of their free agent players including RT Zach Strief, WR Robert Meachem, OLB Parys Haralson and S Rafael Bush regarding extensions in recent weeks.
Ramon Vargas of the Baton Rouge Advocate reports that the Saints have also discussed an extension will LB Ramon Humber as well.
Humber, 26, is one of the Saints best special teams players who also saw some time at inside linebacker last season. He appeared in all 16 games and totaled 29 tackles and a half sack.
The Saints have some cap space to work with, but it appears as though they are looking for guys who are willing to accept to level salaries ahead of free agency.
