John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel will meet with the Texans on April 21 and 22.
- McClain adds that UCF QB Blake Bortles will visit with the Texans on April 15-16 as well.
McClain has maintained throughout the offseason that he expects the Texans to use their No. 1 overall pick on a quarterback and has them taking Manziel in his most recent Mock Draft.
Manzielโs draft stock appears to be improving after a solid Pro Day. There are several teams in the top-ten who could all use a quarterback including the Vikings, Browns, Jaguars, and Raiders.
Manziel has already met with the Patriots, Vikings and Raiders, and is expected to visit with the Browns in the coming weeks. The Buccaneers have also shown some interest in quarterback prospects as well, so they canโt be ruled out.
Itโs hard to say for certain who is the top quarterback prospect in this yearโs draft class as some still support Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater while others believe UCF QB Blake Bortles could end up having the best pro career.
