Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that the Titans have reached agreement with QB Charlie Whitehurst on Thursday.
- Wyatt adds that Whitehurst receives a two-year deal worth up to $8 million.
- According to Wyatt, the addition of Whitehurst will likely lead to the Titans releasing QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Whitehurst, 31, would make sense as a backup option for Tennessee given that he worked with new HC Ken Whisenhunt last year while in San Diego.
Whitehurst hasnโt seen any action since he was Seattle a few years ago.
