ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that aย leagueย sources has informed him that the Tennessee Titans will use their franchise tag onย FS Michael Griffin.
The move will cost Tennesseeย $6.2 million for the upcoming season but it prevents them from having to replace him on the open market.
It’s an interest move considering that many see CB Cortland Finnegan as the move valuable player but using the tag on him would have ran the team an extra $3.8 million for the upcoming season. Finnegan will now test the market which should have plenty of interest in his services.
