Kristian Garic of WWL.com reports that the Saints are hosting free agent DE Jason Hatcher for a visit on Tuesday night.
It’s worth mentioning that signing Hatcher to a contract wouldn’t factor into a team’s 2017 compensatory picks.
Hatcher, 33, signed a four-year, $27.5 million contract that included $10.5 million guaranteed with the Redskins back in 2013. However, he was released in a move that freed up $4.2 million in cap space for Washington.
In 2015, Hatcher appeared in 15 games and recorded 20 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 55 interior defensive lineman out of 123 qualifying players.
