According to Ian Rapoport, Saints LT Terron Armstead will miss this Thursday’s game with a high-ankle sprain he suffered during Sunday’s game against the Panthers.
Rapoport adds Armstead is considered week-to-week by the Saints, with a high ankle sprain typically taking at least a month to recover from.
Armstead was taken to the locker room on a cart during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Panthers with a left foot injury.
He was replaced by veteran OL Patrick Omameh at left tackle.
Armstead, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Saints back in 2013. He’s currently in the fifth year of his six-year, $65.25 million contract that included $25 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $10.7 million and $10.15 million over the next two years.
In 2019, Armstead has appeared in 11 games for the Saints and starting all of them at left tackle. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 7 tackle out of 75 qualifying players.
