Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Saints S Erik Harris suffered a torn ACL and meniscus during Monday’s practice and has undergone surgery to repair the ligaments.
This injury will obvious cost Harris the remainder of the season and lead to him being placed on injured reserve in the coming days.
Harris, 26, signed on with the Saints back in February. He’s currently in the first year of his three-year, $1,620,000 contract and set to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.
In 2016, Harris appeared in four games for the Saints and recorded one tackle.
