Josh Katzenstein reports that the Saints have signed LBย Lamar Louis to their practice squad on Tuesday.
The Saints will need to make a roster move as they’re currently at the 10-man limit. Here’s how their practice squad looks right now:
- G John Fullington
- TE Garrett Griffin
- C Jack Allen
- WR Jordan Williams
- DT Ashaad Mabry
- QB Garrett Grayson
- DB Taveze Calhoun
- TE Jake Stoneburner
- DE Royce LaFrance
- LB Chris McCain
Louis, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in May. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was unfortunately waived with an injury designation on Wednesday.
Louis was active for the team’s season-opener on Sunday but did not record a single statistic. The Cardinals waived him with an injury designation a few weeks into the regular season and later cut him from injured reserve with a settlement.
During his college career, Louis recorded 96 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, no sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses.
