Griffin wasnโt drafted last year and this will be his first opportunity with an NFL team.
Itโs likely that Griffin will open training camp as the teamโs No. 4 quarterback behind Drew Brees, Luke McCown and Garrett Grayson, so heโll have his work cut out for him to earn a roster spot this summer.
Last year, Griffin played for the Hildesheim Invaders of the German Football League.
During his four-year career at Concordia, Griffin threw for 5,614 yards while completing 63.7 percent of his passes to go along with 47 touchdowns and 23 interceptions. Griffin also ran for 1,331 yards and 22 touchdowns for Concordia.
