Update:
Saquon Barkley’sย agent, Kim Miale, tells Mary Kay Cabot that the report that they don’t want Barkley to be drafted by the Browns is false.
“I can say on behalf of our entire team that we would be thrilled for Saquon to go to whichever team drafts him,” Miale said Wednesday. “We know he will be a resounding success for any team fortunate enough to select him.”

According toย Ben Baskin of SI.com, the agents for Penn State RB Saquon Barkley don’t want him to be drafted by the Browns and have “imported him to pull an Eli Manning“ and demand that they not draft him.
โHis Roc Nation handlers, however, donโt want him to be taken No. 1,โ Baskin writes. โThey donโt want him in Cleveland. They want him to go second to the Giants and play in the media capital of the world. Thatโs where you can become the Face of the League. His manager even implored him to pull anย Eli Manningย and demand that the Browns not draft him. Barkley never considered the option.โ
The Browns are widely expected to take a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick, so unless Barkley is still on the board at No. 4 overall, there’s a decent enough chance he won’t be playing in Cleveland.
Barkley has a popular name linked to the Giants throughout the draft process and it’s possible they could pass on a quarterback at No. 2 overall and take Barkley.
Barkley, 21, is widely considered to be the best running back in this year’s draft class and possibly the best prospect at the position in some time.
During his three-year college career, Barkley rushed for 3,843 yards on 671 carries (5.7 YPC) to go along with 102 receptions for 1,195 yards receiving and 51 total touchdowns. He also contributed 500 kick return yards and two touchdowns.
